2021 Exhibition

In November 2021 we were finally able to hold our exhibition which had to be postponed from its planned date in 2020. The exhibition was held at Fenham Farm in and had the theme "Make, Do and Mend". The event attracted more than 200 visitors and everyone remarked on our venue, the Granary at Fenham Farm, which is in a spectacular location overlooking Holy Island. Huge thanks to member Gill Curry, her husband Wattie and daughter Becky who generously allowed us the use of space within their very successful five-star B&B business

Organiser Annie Robinson said:

”The event was a great success and I would like to say a big thank you to all those who supported it and also to all the members who made it possible with their work behind the scenes.

“It is brilliant that we finally got to go ahead after problems with a venue then Covid-19 restrictions affected our original plans for 2019 and 2020.”

Below are the images chosen for the 2021 exhibition calendar

A special calendar was produced from a 2020 Challenge theme "20cmx20cm". A vote was held to choose 12 works. The contributing members were: Gill Curry, Shirley Forster, Kay Gardiner, Sue Handoll, Enid Peutherer, Vanessa Priest, Faith Robertson, Annie Robinson, June Russell, Rineke Sangster, Wendy Skinner and Theresa Wilkinson. The calendar flew off the shelf and along with commissions made on members work sold. A magnificent £1,200 was raised at the exhibition. This was split so that £600 went to our charities, the Great North Air Ambulance and the Margaret Kerr Fund, supporting the palliative care facility at Borders General Hospital.

The organising sub committee included Lesley Abernethy, Kate Allport, Diane Chalmers, Ingeborg Crabbie, Gill Curry, Felicity Hay, Caroline Morrell, Annie Robinson (chair), June Russell and Betty Snow.
